UPLY was founded by Daliborka Mitrovic after 14 years of working inside Austrian higher education. Over the years, Daliborka worked with international applicants, families, schools, partners, agents, and educational institutions across different markets. Her role often went beyond representing one university: she became a trusted contact for questions about studying in Austria, but also about living, settling in, and understanding Austria as a place to study, work, travel, and belong. In this role, she combined direct student-facing experience with strategic responsibility — from developing recruitment strategies and international partnerships to improving applicant journeys, creating new processes, and finding out-of-the-box solutions within established structures.
